What a ready-made outdoor kitchen island is
A ready-made island is an outdoor kitchen built and finished in a factory, then delivered to your home with the cabinets assembled. There is no design phase, no site build and no trade schedule. You pick the size, the door style and the finish, and it arrives in that configuration. Final island assembly and setup happen on site: legs on, cabinets joined and levelled, the countertop bonded and the grill set in.
A custom Brisa kitchen is measured to your space, runs to your own layout and materials, and installs in about 30 days. A ready-made island cannot be resized or reshaped, but it ships in 10 business days, the price is published, and freight anywhere in Florida is included. If your patio takes a straight run and one of these six sizes fits, the island is the faster and cheaper route. If it does not, we design the custom one.
See how your island is set up
The manufacturer's own film walks through the on-site work: legs fitted, cabinets joined and levelled, countertop bonded and the grill set once the adhesive has cured for 24 hours. Do it yourself with the manual on each island page, hire a local installer, or add Brisa Island Setup at $650 per island, $585 with the current 10% offer.
Common questions
- How long does delivery take?
- Islands normally ship within 10 business days of the order. Freight transit across Florida then adds a few days, and the carrier calls ahead to arrange the delivery window.
- Is delivery really free?
- Yes. Freight is included in the published price for delivery within Florida. It is a kerbside freight delivery, so plan for help moving the island into position, or add Brisa Island Setup at $650 per island, $585 with the current 10% offer.
- Can I cancel or return an island?
- Orders can be cancelled free of charge within 48 hours of being placed. After that the island is in production with WeatherStrong, so contact us before ordering if you are unsure about size or finish.
- What warranty comes with it?
- The WeatherStrong Island Series cabinet warranty runs 25 years to the original purchaser, with 5 years on stainless hardware and 1 year on the WeatherTop countertop. It is not transferable and does not cover labour. Grills, side burners and refrigerators carry their own Jupiter manufacturer warranty.
- Do I need a permit?
- A freestanding island that is not plumbed or wired in usually does not need a permit, but rules differ by county and by HOA. If you want a fixed gas line or a dedicated circuit run to it, that work is permitted and inspected. Check with your local building department before you order.
- Do I need an electrician?
- Only for the islands with a refrigerator, which needs a grounded outdoor outlet within reach. Grills and side burners are gas and need no power. If your patio has no outlet, arrange for an electrician to install one.
- What is the countertop made of?
- It is WeatherStrong's own surface, called WeatherTop, and the material is a compact laminate. The colour is Glacier Frost, white with soft grey veining. It is not a natural stone. It is non-porous, UV stable and rated for freeze and thaw, so there is no sealing and nothing to maintain. Our custom-built kitchens use natural stone from MSI. The islands use WeatherTop.
- How does the grill light?
- From the control knob. No match and no lighter needed. Every Jupiter grill has the Instant Ignition System: a flame thrower primary ignition, a flash tube as a secondary backup, and crossover tubes so the burners light evenly. It is the same on the Classic Series and the Pro Series.
- Does the island need assembling?
- The cabinets arrive assembled and the countertop is cut to size, so this is not flat pack. Final assembly happens on your lanai: legs on, cabinets joined and levelled, the countertop bonded, then the grill set in once the adhesive has cured for 24 hours. Most of it is an afternoon's work. The manufacturer's manual and video are on each island page, you can hire a local installer, or add Brisa Island Setup at $650 per island, $585 with the current 10% offer and we do all of it for you.
- How do I get it from the driveway to my lanai?
- The island is delivered by freight truck with a liftgate, which brings it to the kerb on a pallet. Moving it to your lanai and setting it up is either your job or ours. Add Brisa Island Setup at $650 per island, $585 with the current 10% offer and we collect it from the kerb, place it where you want it, and build it. Contact Brisa to confirm service availability and access requirements for your address before ordering setup.
